Privacy notice
This notice is from Philip Hynes, trading as Kishtin ("we"). It says what personal data we keep, why, who else handles it and what your rights are, for Kishtin and for this website, kishtin.ie.
Two kinds of data
Your account. When your company signs up and uses Kishtin we keep the names, email addresses and sign-in details of your team, your company's name and address, and records of what is done in Kishtin. For this data we are the controller.
Your company's work. The designs, quotes and customer details your team puts into Kishtin belong to your company, which is their controller. We process them on its behalf and on its instructions, to provide Kishtin and nothing else.
The AI assistant. What a person asks Kishtin's AI assistant, and its answers, are kept with their conversation for that person alone to read, until they delete it or their account is stopped. To answer, the question and the parts of your company's work it needs are sent to the AI model, which Amazon Web Services runs for us in the European Union.
Why we keep it
- To provide Kishtin under our terms with your company: the account, sign-in, email such as invitations and new password links, and support.
- To bill your company, through Stripe, as the law on accounts requires.
- To keep Kishtin secure and working, which is our legitimate interest: records of sign-ins and errors.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not use it for advertising.
Who else handles it
- Amazon Web Services hosts Kishtin and sends its email, in Ireland, and runs the AI assistant's model in the European Union.
- Stripe takes payments. Card details go to Stripe and never reach us. Stripe may move data outside the European Economic Area under the safeguards the law allows.
Where and for how long
Kishtin's data is kept in Ireland. We keep account data while your company uses Kishtin, and its work for 30 days after it stops. Billing records are kept for as long as the law on accounts requires.
Cookies
This website sets no cookies and loads nothing from anyone else. Kishtin itself sets one cookie when you sign in, to keep you signed in. It is needed for Kishtin to work, and nothing else is stored in your browser for tracking.
Your rights
You can ask to see the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to have it given to you in a usable form, and to object to how we use it. For data in your company's work, ask your company first; we help it answer. Write to info@kishtin.ie.
If you are not happy with our answer you may complain to the Information Commissioner's Office, the UK's data protection regulator (ico.org.uk).
